So Much To Do and So Little Time!
Its a wonderful place to relax but there is so much to do if the interest & need takes you.

  • Walks  30 peaks over 3000 feet within 45 mins drive of Aberfeldy but also many local walks including the newly constructed Riverside Path that runs from Grandtully to  Kenmore past Aberfeldy & Weem
  • Wild Swimming  The local swimming hole is just across the fields from the cottages and up Glen Lyon there are many great places to swim in the River Lyon. At  Kenmore at the east end of Loch Tay there is a sandy beach which is great for families.
  • Kayaking & Canoeing We have our own kayaking & canoeing business that offers 1-7 day kayaking courses and specialises in introducing beginners to white water kayaking including families & individuals with kayaks to suit kids as young as 6 and also some great touring kayaks for those who want to explore the Lochs of Highland Perthshire including kayaking on Loch Tay, Loch Tummel, Loch Rannoch and Loch Faskally. See www.nationalkayakschool.com We also have a fleet of inflateable kayaks for those that want to get straight on to the rough stuff.

Fun White water kayaking in inflateables

  • Rockclimbing   Weem Woods right behind the cottages has some great beginner crags, excellent overhanging sport routes and lots in between.

Easy Rock climbs 10 mins walk away in weem wood

  • Mountain Biking Not reknowned for its mountain bike routes but the locals have been developing them for years so just ask around and you will find some real gems both short and steep and some great cross country routes.
  • Road Biking The Etape Caledonia comes right past our door and is the only closed road cycle race in Scotland held on the middle weekend in May. Many of the Scottish Triathlon teams come to train in Aberfeldy because of the superb road biking over very high passes down fairly quiet glens.
